Need help finding short billed cap
« on: February 28, 2015, 07:21:00 PM »
Curious as to where I can find a cap or hat that has a short enough bill that my string on my longbow will not touch before I reach my anchor point.  Hate having to turn my ball cap backwards to shoot.

Thanks in advance    :D

Stormy Kromer makes a nice short bill and a no bill .

Gray Wolf woolens bomber hat and Classic Sportsman are two real good high quality wool hats with short brims.

Big Jim's cap has wire as well. At $10 you can't go wrong.

Thanks guys.  Lots of choices for the different seasons with those recommended above.  Now to narrow it down to which one I want.

If you want one for cold weather, the wool "coups cap" from Two Tracks is perfect. It has a two inch brim. I just got one, and was shooting yesterday, to test the bill length. Its short so your string doesn't hit it. But if it does, the brim is very soft and gives way.

They also have a fleece model, with the short bill.
