I've made a couple, but don't have a picture handy.

Just keep in mind that most broadheads are tempered for impact resistance and ease of sharpening. They're not going to hold an edge anywhere near as long as a good knife blade.

That looks familiar.........

The wooden one was the "prototype". Carved a piece of 1x2 down to resemble antler. Actually really like it and wear it occasionally. The other 2 were made for a gentleman who donated the heads. The "fancy" one was for him and was a belt model. The smaller I built for him to use as a raffle item at a shoot and made a neck sheath for it similar to the one pictured. Funny thing is I haven't made another one since (2, going on 3 years I think). It was just one of those things that once I figured out I could do it, I no longer had the desire. Not to say I won't again, even considered putting one together for St. Jude's, just haven't done it yet.

The one I made had a brass guard with a brass insert in the center. You could just unscrew the head and put a new one in or just carry the handle in your pack and use a head off an arrow.

That's basically what I did with these. Used an Easton HP insert, screwed in the broadhead adapter, and then glued on the head. I actually put a little glue on the threads, but the heads themselves were mounted with hot melt and could be re-positioned or replaced all together.
