I need arrow pictures for the wife please
« on: March 08, 2015, 10:38:00 PM »
The wife is getting a new bow custom made for her for her birthday this year.  I'm going to be making her a quiver and arrows and all to go with it.  She's torn on how she wants her arrows to look.  Could you post some photos of your arrows to help her imagine what she may like hers to look like?

Oh, and by the way, she's wanted a bow for years now and this will be her FIRST bow.  It's being handmade by a friend of mine who makes bows in woods that will look similar to my longbow.  We are both really excited.  Now she'll have something to shoot with me.    :archer:

Thanks for the help guys.  I knew there would be a few good threads on it.  Right now she's just looking at tons of patterns in cresting and sorting through what she likes design wise.

She and I are both very excited about her getting a bow.  This will be a special birthday for sure.  Also, I'll be sure to post some photos of it and the grin on her face when she gets a new custom bow, arrows, quiver, arm guard, and tab.  I'm going to do all the leather work and I'm debating between either doing the arrows myself or having Gary and D&M do them.  He does some fantastic work for a reasonable price and that would free up a lot of time for me to work on her leather accessories.

Right now she's thinking about this pattern with classic black and white and a few gold pinstripes, but that's subject to change.

I like to flame crest mine. It gives them a little different look.

Thanks to all.  We have a design nailed down and on order from D&M.  That'll free up time for me to work more on her custom leather accessories package.

These are some of the ones that i've done that have turned out well. Some are wraps and some are just on the carbon arrow itself.

I like chartreuse and purple.   I would have liked the purple to be DARK purple as opposed to lavender but I still love the arrows.
