Early August 2015, two hunters. Can I get a few suggestions for transport outfits please?

Have you contacted her yet?  (Kavik?)  She usually is filled a year or two in advance as she caters mostly to the guides in the area.  Sue can fill you in on any details for flights for incoming or getting out.

As an alternative, have you checked out just flying into a drop camp that isn't hunted nearly as hard, say from Happy Valley east or west.  Any of the guys up there know where the herds are at, and can drop you closer than if you plan to hunt from Kavik.

Another thing to remember about the slope is that 5 miles off either side of the Dalton you are hunting with the gun guys.  There are some pretty nice spots within the 5 mile archery only corridor. (flying) that make for a quieter and easier hunt.  Plus it doesn't cost as much as flying way out there and having a lot of air time expense, especially if you have meat and have to pay for additional flights.

I have transport out of Kavik to hunt taken care of. We'll be flying with Bushwacker(sponsor). The flight to and from Kavik is the issue. Won't need a room in Kavik, will just stay in our tents on the way out.

Then you should have a great hunt.  Have fun.  Been going to the slope for almost 20 years.  It is like no other place on earth.  Just remember that it is a HUGE place and you can go days without even seeing a bou and the next morning you're in the middle of 15,000 animals.  Enjoy our state and Good luck..

I'm hunting with Jeff as well.  Have you asked him this question?  Been meaning to reach out to him to finalize logistics soon.  What are your dates?

Think I'll get to the bush by the 10th.
Trying to coordinate sharing a flight to Kavik with some sheep hunters.
