Newbie broadhead/arrow question

Hey guys. I have been shooting everyday for the past few months. I am thinking about giving spring gobbler a try. I am currently shooting 45# @ 28". I am using Easton 2117 aluminum 31" arrow length with 125 gr field points. I haven't purchased any broadheads yet. I plan on deer hunting in the fall. From y'all's experience is 125 gr suitable for deer/turkey or should I get some 150 gr field points, give those a try, then make a decision on broadheads? I would obviously like to shoot as close a field point/ broadhead weight as possible, and try to use similar weights for various types of hunting.

If the arrows are flying good , then 125 are fine. There are some good 125 available , but there are more options in traditional heads in heavier weights. A Magnus Stinger is a great head to try in 125. They come ready to hunt.  Where you at in VA. ?

I'd go with a Wensel Woodsman. They are 125gr, and shoot very similar to field points to me. The narrow profile and 3 edges should work well for turkeys as it does for deer.

I'll second Pat B's suggestion. I use the Woodsman 125's on everything I hunt, from black bears to bunny's. IMO they're a great broadhead. Good luck, and have fun.

I love in Salem, near Roanoke. Thanks for the suggestions. I'm not opposed to purchasing different heads for turkey and deer, if there are advantages.

I use Magnus stingers or Badger broadheads. Whenever I blow up the rest of my stingers I'll move to strictly Badgers because I like the single bevel design better than a double bevel
