Thanks

I don't know if all wraps are the same weight, but this should get you in the ballpark and yes I enter it in to the nock end weight on Stu's.
Q: How much do Onestringer arrow wraps weigh?
A: Onestringer arrow wrap weights are as follows:
standard: 1.1 grains per square inch
reflective: 1.6 grains per square inch
double doggs: 0.5 grains per square inch
To get the exact weight of your wraps we'll use .95 x 6 as a sample:
.95 x 6 = 5.7
5.7 x 1.1 = 6.27 grains total

Just to clarify. In the above example, ".95" is the width and "6" is the length of the wrap which would be used on an Axis or similar shaft. Most wraps are 1" or more. Onestringer has a great FAQ section which will probably address any question you could ever have about wraps. They're also great folks to do business with!

I don't know how accurate this is, but my scales say 3.1 grains. That is a Bearpaw 4"artificial barred orange shield cut. My inexpensive digital scales have not been calibrated in years and sometimes I think they have a "memory", but I weighed 3 individually (3.1 gns each) and 3 together (9.3 gns), so I'm thinking that's pretty close.

I weighed my bare shaft and then weighed it again after adding a 9" wrap with double dog overwrap and 3 5-inch feathers. I never weighed the feathers alone, figuring what I was interested in was the total weight including the fletch tape.
I came up with a total increase of 30gr, and instead of entering 3 5" feathers I entered "other" and 30gr. The nock weight was entered separately as "nock weight". Definitely changed the calculated dynamic spine of my arrows and Stu's calculator now matches what tunes right for my bow. Of course that 30gr only holds true for my 9" wraps and 5" feathers, but that's all I ever build.

That jibes with my measurements Blade, and I have measured them separately. About 10 grains plus or minus a little for wraps, 5 grains for 5-inch shield cut feather and 5 grains for a plastic nock, give or take a little.

Orion, that 30 grains was just for the 5" feathers, glue/fletch tape, 9" wraps and 9" DoubleDog over-wraps. The nock is extra.
Funny how everything adds up that I never thought to include when using Stu's calculator. My appreciation for all the work and research he put into that thing keeps increasing every time I learn something new about it.

I believe the ones I had were 7" reflective and double doggs weighed 16gr. I weighed 2 identical shafts one with wraps and one without. And came up with a 16gr difference.

I'm with Bladepeek, I select "other" on the fletching field and enter the total feather/wrap weight in the calculator.... This makes sure the weight is more evenly spaced towards the back for the calculation. The nock weight is very isolated at the end of the arrow which increases dynamic spine results more dramatically. If I don't remember the various fletching weights, I will select the appropriate fletching size first and look at how much the calculator is adding to the weight for a reference compared to "other" with 0 grains entered. Stu's calculator is pretty sweet...

I usually weigh the arrow fletched and wrapped and adjust the feather weight to what it takes to get the total arrow weight accurate. It makes a difference in Stu's and yields a better result for me.
When it comes down to it though I bare shaft until it's right and I don't care what Stu says. It's just to get me starting close to where I should be.
