I should have quit while i was ahead!!!
« on: March 18, 2015, 02:18:00 PM »
Well i was shooting my bow last night and after about 60 arrows I decided its getting late. So i sat down for one more round of shots at the homemade turkey target and this is what happened on my very last shot right before i was calling it quits.

Ouch!  Nephew did that last weekend shooting with me.  BTW, what arrows are those?  Never saw one have a clear layer pop loose like that before.

I've adopted too many bows that needed a good home.

It's only cool the first time. Then it's just expensive. You come to hate that sound don't ya.

Arrows are expendable ammo. Pics like yours are way cool.

The arrows are Carbon Express heritage 350's the bow is a Bodnik Slick Stick. That clear coating is what they call Buff Tough and it is tough, but if you wack it really hard or shoot another arrow through it. It will seperate from the wood grain paint.

Yeh that's right. It's the whole reason I said I should have quit while I was ahead, but I took my final shot and this is the result. I don't like buying arrows and spent time and money on this set with aluminum carbon collars and nock collars to keep from tearing them up.
