Storing Bows with Quiver On
« on: March 25, 2015, 09:21:00 AM »
Guys- I just switched to a strap on quiver and was wondering how many of you leave them on all the time when not in use.  I just want to make sure nothing negative will happen to the structure of the bow if left on. Thanks for any input!

I have one on all my bows and never take them off.

as long as it isn't a humid environment you will be fine.

I hang my PLX on the buck that I got last year with the bow. I mostly keep my bows hanging vertical in a closet, except for the one mentioned above.

I use strap-ons also and usually take them off after hunting season. Have no personal knowledge of any structural damage if left on though. Have never heard of any either. I re-attach when I start practicing for hunting season so as to compensate for performance with attached quiver if there is any.

I leave mine on for several months in the fall when I'm hunting, but take them off for the reast of the year.  Just don't want to carry the extra weight around. Not worried about any structural damage.

Most finishes darken with age and particularly with exposure to sunlight.  If you leave the quiver on all the time, the wood/glass under it will be lighter when you take it off.

Mine stay on forever. I like the consistency for 3D and stumping too.

Mine are always on. I have a Abbott longbow from 92 and it has the same Selway quiver I put on it then. That was my first custom bow and I  also took my first whitetail ever the same year with it. Great memory

Always on...
