Welcome Barry! I'm in Ashe-vegas!

Drop everything right now and join in tonight on an excellent class the NWTF and NCWRD are doing  6:30-8:30  on advanced turkey hunting tactics at the NCSU Agricultural Extension/ Research campus in Mills River, a half mile from the new Sierra Nevada brewery.

I've adopted too many bows that needed a good home.

Amen!  I am about 5 miles west of lake glenville. I transplanted from Lancaster, PA after hiking a three month stretch on the Appalachian Trail. Do you hunt the mountains? All the locals seem to head south.  I am seeing more deer and turkey than ever this year.  Mast crop was ridiculous.  There's so many acorns the squirrels and deer have not even made a dent.

When I'm there during the season, that's where I hunt - or try to at least.   ;)   Turkey season never seems to time out for when I'm there though.   :(    It's a shame too -  I see tons of turkey in Graham county during the rest of the year.

Hey Barry, Robbinsville is where I grew up. I live in Cleveland Tn. now. I own my Dad's land at the head of Franks creek and I have a lot of kin folk there. Once you make friends with those folks you're friends for life. Maybe I can meet you someday when I'm up that way. Most hunting is with dogs for bear and hogs in October. We have a few trad shooters here in Cleveland but don't know any in Rville. let me know how often you're there and I'll try and look you up.
