Shooting arrows during Easter
« on: April 02, 2015, 11:48:00 AM »
This is probably off topic, but I need to share anyway. Today is the first day of Easter, and today we have had my stepdaughter and stepson with their spauses over for barbeque. The entire day has be spent outside by the barbeque with good food and good drink. A couple of arrows has been flung, but that hasnt been the most important thing today. Today has been about family, good food and good music. Life is smiling today...

Looking forward to seeing some of my grandchildren hunt for Easter eggs (do they do that in Norway?), and sharing some good times with family on Easter.  Yes, and flinging a few arrows on Easter morning before the family festivities start!

Can't wait till my grand kids get old enough to teach them to shoot Easter eggs. For now I guess we will just put them in a basket.

McDave, we used to have Easter egg hunts when I was a kid. And Robert Armstrong, I am getting a granddaughter this spring. Here first bow is already in place waiting for her, courtesy of Kirk at Bigfoot bows.

Trond.
Nothing wrong with enjoying your Family and Archery.
My Granddaughter is 6 months old, I watch her every day while Mom and Nana teach....
And, I already have her bow picked out....LOL

I'll most likely get out and kill some foam with my 5 yr old grandson over the weekend as well.

Back in my single days, my sister in law made a cake in the shape of a rabbit and brought over for the family dinner one Easter.  I had been outside shooting and came inside to see the cake on the counter.  I took an arrow out of my quiver and inserted it in the cake right behind the shoulder.  She didn't think it was as funny as I did.

All my grandkids shoot and after church on Sunday, just before dinner, we just might stretch a few strings.  Easter is about rejoicing and family
