String jig
« on: April 08, 2015, 02:17:00 PM »
Was at a big sporting goods store a few weeks ago and found a Flemish twist jig made out of walnut . It has brass pegs and the edges are routed nice . The price was $21.00 and I have ben going to make a new one anyway . For that price , why not .
So here is the thing , I wanted to make a string with material that I don't like in case it wasn't right . I used purple and dark brown .
The surprise is , that looks kinda good , so I served it with brown and , well , I have a purple and brown string on my Super Griz .

Dang, Great Find.... I do not need another Jig, My Buddy KAT made one for me..

Every ugly string I tried to make ended up looking good but then again..... I like ugly things with the exception of my wife.
