So I got some...I have the instructions, but do you really need to tie them in? Seems like some guys just put em thru the string and call it good?

Are there any videos on intallation?

I just wax the string really well right where you put them in and then string the bow up and let it sit strung for a night and mine haven't come out.

I do not tie them in on my stings.

I think that is more for straight dacron strings without much twist.

as long as you have a fair amount of twist you will be fine, just follow the instructions without tying them.

They take a fair amount of shooting to form well so be patient.

Ok just did it this morning, and after letting it sit a few hours, I had to make a few shots...all I can say is wow! my Bob Lee has never been quieter.
Very good product indeed.

Yes I agree they are the most effective silencer out there,and they are super cheap!

They are awesome if you want a classic looking quality will silencer.  They are water resistant and burr resistant too.  If your string has enough twists and waxed good no tie in needed, and you can move them around.  The fuzz is usually gone/ stops flying around after one or two shooting sessions.  Good chit!

I've found I can get by using only half of each bundle.  It makes a nice, smaller little puff ball that I prefer and seems to do just as good of a job as a large puff ball.  And I can do two bows/strings in stead of one,  which goes nice with the Bow Hush, since they send enough for two strings when you order that.

Like stated....you don't have to tie them in...but really best if its an endless string with little twist.

And, also correct if you bow isn't loud, you don't have to use the whole unit, you can cut off some of the strands...we just ship the unit that will quiet the most for the loudest bows.

I have a set on a flemish string; did't put them thru the twists, nor tie above or below... tied them onto the string in the center (think I cut one in half, placed one on either side of the string, and tied.)
I can move them easily up or down the string, yet they stay where I put 'em unless I move 'em intentionally. Helpful in finding the optimal placement.

They made a little more compact ball, which I later trimmed down to sort of a cylinder shape - my Thunderstick is very quiet with less than a full set. VERY pleased with them, by the way.Excellent quality, very effective, and easy to get.
