Treadway longbows

I had the pleasure of meeting Mike Treadway a couple of years ago at the Kentucky Tradfest and have visited with him subsequent years. I briefly owned one of his bows a few years ago but the specs were completely wrong for me. I did see greatness in that bow though and have been casually looking for one ever since. Well the things never come up for sale! After two friends bought bows from Mike this past weekend I had major bow envy and set out to find me one. I now have a Black Forest and a black rock in the mail to me to try out. So tell me about your Treadways and hang a picture or three if you can. I've read all I can find out there and there just isn't that much info on the web.

I have one of each style of Mike's bows, of the two you mentioned the Black Forest is my favorite. I seem to shoot the Black Forest and the Back to Basic the best. Right now I shoot my 66" Back to Basic the most.

I also talked to Mike many times at Denton Hill and TBOF shoots. This year in Florida I was chatting with him and spotted a Back to Basics "D" shaped longbow on his in stock table. The Osage riser called to me and the next thing I know I was strapping it to my bike and heading back to Daytona. I told the story on a post here with some pics. I'll bring it up to the top for you.........look for "It was Pretty"
