Got my self a "new" bow last night.

Funny how the little things can work miracles... Decided last night to replace the shelf material on the Cayuga. It was beginning to show some wear, and I've had the feeling it was a bit too thin. So I tear off the old one, find my self some Velcro-tape and go for it. The result was looking rather good to me, and I wanted to do some more. So the string got a full wax treatment, before I hooked up the bow square to check brace height. Decided for no particular reason to lower it from 7 1/4" to 7". To round it all off before I went outside to test shoot, I replaced that old brass nocking point with two tied on points. Then it was time for a test drive. And WOW! I got a new bow in my hands! It was more silent, and I believe my shooting actually improved! Don't know if that's even possible, but my arrows grouped more consistently than before.
I have taken the first step down the road of bow-tuning!

Some times a little adjustment and TLC can make a bow seem new, and change your mindset.

Trond..
The little things do make a difference. The other day I was shooting left and inconsistent.
So I took off the Arrow plates and adjusted my Brace height, And started hitting where I wanted....
PS...Yes I said plates, the bow was my Hill Ambi, No shelf's....
