Never Say Never.........

I'm a woodie and 2016 kinda guy... Can't have enough arrows for 3D, stumping and hunting... Anyway, I tried some 15/35 Gold Tips this past weekend at Whittingham and the wheels started to turn...
Got six fletched-up at 500 grains overall and will put 'em to the test at Cos Cob on Saturday... If (they) don't win me over, I can always use them for The Muzzy Shoot...

What did you do to get them to 500? I shoot 175 up front and I'm only tipping the scale at about 460. They fly great so I don't want to add any more tip weight.

Mike,
You're in trouble. You run the risk of all those wood an aluminum guys making fun of you....

First you reduce your draw weight, and now are looking at carbons. What next?
Way to keep an open mind.

FYI...
Arrow Shaft 27.5" 209gr
Point............. 200gr
Brass Insert...... 50gr
Front Footing..... 10gr
Arrow Wrap........ 6gr
Signature Nock.... 9gr
Three Feathers.......9gr
Total is 493 grains, then glue brings it just over 500...
Thanks for asking
I'm drawing 44# @ 26" and the arrow goes right where I'm looking... Just works for me.

I've been at this game a long time... Guess a bit thick headed about the use of carbon arrows... Maybe even lazy in the tuning part of things... Whatever...

Great shafts for most my bows. Really like them for 3-D.

If Mike looks at Ron, Ron is the safest one standing there.
And I had all these aluminium arrows laying around for you. Now you can use those aluminum arrows for footing your 1535's. I'm pretty sure they take 2117's.
