This guy fell to a VPA 2 blade 200 grain point from a 9 yard ground shot. 60@30 Toelke D bow. Hit him quartering away, behind rt rib cage and out just behind his left shoulder. Pass through and he didn't even know he was hit. No blood trail.
I'm switching to VPA 3 blades. Easier to sharpen
64" Toelke SSLR
64” Toelke Whip SL
Great Northern Quivers only!

All the best!

When it comes to the tip of my arrows I like the ACE Archery Tackle line of heads and inserts. For the money you can't go wrong.

Primarily shoot Ribtek 190s or 160s....   Also have some Grizzly Kodiaks in 200gr.

This year I got some Grizzly Instincts and going to try them on some hunts this year.  Not connected with them yet but they balance great.

I still use what Fred Bear used, the Bear razorhead with the bleeder blades installed. In fact, leaving tomorrow morning for a week of bear hunting in Manitoba.
