New Browning bows?
«

I'm always scanning that auction place for a Browning Backpacker II - the bow of my youth and the one I'd love to shoot again. Today I noticed an ad for a "new" browning recurve. I didn't think they made recurves anymore, so I went out and did a search and found that Browning is selling 4 models (at least on the website I found (browning-archery.com) - The Kudu Heritage and Impala Heritage recurves and the Sequoia and Legacy longbows. All pretty reasonably priced, too. The two recurves are in the same vein as my old Backpacker II.
SO - I've never noticed any references to these bows on this site - anybody have any experience with them? Recommendations? Warnings? Opinions?
Thanks!

Those recurves look like the same bows PSE sells/sold. Not so sure they aren't made by Ragim. Always wondered how that Kudu performs....

There is a Back Packer I on the big auction site right now. Wow, are they proud of it or what? No bids yet, $350.00 starting bid and $650.00 buy it now! I would love to have it, but for about $450.00 less. Maybe a Browning collector will jump on it.
Like NDTerminator, I'm pretty sure the Browning curves and longbows offered now are made by Ragim.

Ga.boy - I saw that BP1, but I'd like one at a less astronomical price! It does look nice, but I want one I can shoot.

Seems silly to me. Not sure what their angle is. Browning once made top notch bows that still hold their own today. I checked their site and recognize the ones listed as once made by PSE and now Ragim. Those aren't made by Browning. Kinda sad they don't make a respectable trad bow of their own these days.

Browning Archery was bought by PSE about 3 years ago. PSE bought them for their patents they had on their compound cams, plus the name.
I'm not a know- all, my best friend runs a compound shop and I help him out alot.
