Hi, im new to upstate SC and was wondering if anyone on here could give me some pointers on where the best places for me to find some hogs are without having to drive all over SC.

I would be interested in this too. I am in Southwest NC and would love to go after some hogs.  We have them in the Tennessee border counties but I have heard the population isnt too high.  Their are some descendants of russian boar up here that were brought over for a hunting preserve.  A couple people have told me the Nantahala Gorge area has them but that might be a hike for you.

There is a good population of hogs around the Jocassee Gorges area in Pickens. They are tough to hunt with a bow, though. The Sumter National Forest in Abbeville County has loads of hogs and is only a little more than an hour from Greenville.

Send me a private message and I'll fill you in.

There was a 609# hog taken from the Jocassee Gorges area a few months ago.

I shot my first hog on Hogback Mtn. way back in 1986. Most of Hogback is closed off now due to the Cliff's Communities. Chestnut Ridge Heritage Preserve is on the southern edge of Hogback, but the last few times I've been there, I've seen more people than I have wildlife. I did see a few hog, bear, and deer tracks, though.
