Spine help please!
« on: October 08, 2007, 11:50:00 PM »
I am shooting a #55@28" recurve Drawn to 27" and have some Beman 400's. I was planning to put 200grs. up front with 3GPI weight tubes but I need to know if this weakens spine too much or I should go heavier up front? Yes I know that arrow legnth affects it but from 32" to 29" would spine be ok?

thanks 'gang

I think you still may be a bit stiff at 29", leave 'em full length and see. Come over this weekend and well do some playin' round... I just happen to have a few full length Beman 400's around here...  ;)

I agree with OL,but would say ya need more weight up front. I shot them out of high performance recurves cut to 29"s and I was drawing 28.5"s and 64#s or so and needed 225 up front and the bow were all cut past center, try and see but pretty sure you will need quite abit more than 200 grains. Shawn
