DIY feather burner power source?

I have the construction of the burner down, but what are some of the power sources you guys have used. I've heard modem power cords, soldering guns, battery chargers, model train transformers...

the burner jig build is fairly easy, the key is in the power source and then the heat ribbon. mostly i've seen model train transformers for delivering the juice. decades ago i built one with a lionel 027 transformer and monel wire for the heat ribbon. it worked ok. but in the long run, i'd rather just get a used young, just less hassle. these dayze i use 3 of them, each set up for a diff'ent fletch shape.

I built mine out of a goodwill toaster. Ugly but works
