Sunday Hunting in CT
« on: June 03, 2015, 05:45:00 PM »
Finally, after years of trying, we may just get to bow hunt on private land in CT, on Sunday. HB 6034 An Act Concerning Bowhunting on Private Property on Sunday has passed the House of Reps a few days ago, and today passed in the Senate. Only has to be signed by the Gov. Malloy (D) who insists he will sign it.

Lots of CT bowhunters are happy today.

that's awesome but it should be private and Management areas that your money pays for, but its a step in the right direction on a positive note.

That's good news! In a world where our rights as hunters are slowly taken away from us, It's nice to hear something positive once in a while.

I went to Ohio in 1996 with a few buddies. We were all up getting ready to go hunt on Sunday morning when our host came in the room and ask what we were doing. We told him we were getting ready to go hunt and he told us it was not legal to hunt on Sunday. We all thought he was pulling our leg till he went back in his room and turned the lights out and went back to bed!

Glad y'all are getting it changed!

Word is, the Gov. finally signed the bill. It's now official, we can hunt Sundays, in certain zones assigned by Dept of Energy and Environmental Protection. Deer only, private land only. Bow only.
First thing the Gov. has done right in this state.
