Amazing! I don't think I could manage much of anything after a bluff charge from a bear of that size.    :clapper:

Thanks guys. Matty, he probably got to within 15-18 feet when he bluffed.

Congrats, that's a dandy.  If I have a bucket list, black bear from the ground is on it.  Can you describe what was going through your mind during the 1-2 secs of the bluff charge?

When he bluffed I really wasn't thinking anything.  I was concentrating on his middle the whole time, burning a laser right through him while waiting for him to turn to give me a shot. My mind was clear.  After things settled a bit I checked behind me to see where the guide and my buddy were if something were to go bad, took a deep breath and notice my arrow on the shelf was not even quivering.  Then I thought, "I am holding together really well, let's finish this thing."  I really surprised myself with my own composure.  I asked my buddy if it looked like I knew what I was doing when I was standing there and he told it was awesome to watch.
