Good luck.

Just had my shoulder done on Tuesday. I am so lucky that there was no significant tear in the rotator cuff, but some large bone spurs had to be removed.

Do what the doctor says -- especially once rehab gets started.

You will be good as new before you know it.

You retire and your falling apart.  Follow the rehab and you'll be back soon.

Bowhunting is a passion, not an obsession. Its just hard for my wife to tell the difference sometimes.

Jeff,
Best of luck on your recovery.  Take you're time with the rehab, I pushed mine to fast and ended up having to shoot lefthanded for two years.
The broadhead used, regardless of how sharp, is nowhere as important as being able to place it in the correct spot.

Been there and done that...best wishes for a speedy recovery. I've had 3 shoulder arthroscopies(2 right, 1 left).  The most recent was over 10 years ago and I'm still like new above the waist. We won't talk about the total knee & hip replacements I've had in the last 6 months. You can't keep a good man down, but you can sure as h**l slow him down! In case anyone's looking, I'm the perfect buddy for next year's bear hunts.  In case of an attack, I'm guaranteed to be the "low hanging fruit"!

Jeff,
I am amazed too. The surgeon said that there wasn't any significant damage to the tendons yet, there was some fraying but no big tears, and that with the bone spurs removed I would out of the sling and moving my arm pretty quickly. He was right.

I'm still sore and swollen from the surgery, but doing well. I think that having the surgery before there was any big damage from the bone spurs was very much to my advantage.

That being said, I had a torn rotator cuff in the same shoulder 25 years ago from playing baseball. It took more than 6 months to recover from that rebuild job. So each case has its own quirks.

Do know that with time you will be as good as or better than new. Good luck and keep updating all of us on your progress.
