1st time i've used a feather rest, already on a recently acquired vintage (early '60s) Marksman "Outlaw" - except it's horizontal. Not seen that before, but remember reading somewhere that horizontal was better if shooting arrows with vanes rather than feathers. Any comment on that?

Vanes will not fly and better than feathers off of a feather rest.

What was probably meant is that if you want to shoot vanes you need an elevated rest.

By the way what is the stack you are shooting at?
