Kentuckian Bows?
« on: July 28, 2015, 11:10:00 PM »
I have a couple of these bows and I absolutely love them. If you have one or have pix of one I would love to see them. Also I no little about them other than the bowyer. I'd like to know the different options he had available. Thanks

Sorry I can't help you. However, I will tell you I met him and shot one of his long bows a few years ago. It was a great shooting bow. Had I not just purchased a new Recurve at that time I would have brought that bow home.

Roy is a great guy! A Kentuckian was my first custom bow in 1996. I have owned a dozen Kentuckian custom bows over the years. Sadly I don't have any left.

I found it and will try to get it copied today at work,, the envelope is dated 22,nov, 1999.

the order form is filled out but I never sent it which I'll include a copy of for laughs,, but 300.00 for a brandnew custom longbow is a pretty good deal, well actually 17yrs ago it was right on par!

PM me your address.

How about posting pictures of the two you own?  I am sure others are curious as to what these looked like.  I know my interest is piqued

I don't currently own any because I'm into the 50's style recurves right now but the McBroom longbows remind me a lot of Kentuckian I almost thought there was a relation there,, McBroom is a beautiful bow at a great price same as Kentuckian was for the mid 90's...

I have a 50s style recurve it is a Kentuckian. Hands down my favorite bow. I'm really into 50s style recurve myself
