bow grouping right

just got a new to me rer arroyo. shoots smooth and quiet, but groups to the right. I am right handed. arrows are flying great paper tuned with good results, just shooting to the right. I put a thinner pcs in the sight window and it seemed to get worse. Should I put something thicker under the shelf pad or will this throw off my arrow and make it wobble.

Sounds like your spine is week. Depending how far to the right you can go to a heavier point and/or put a thicker side plate on which will stiffen the spine, or you can cut the shafts shorter a little at a time to stiffen the spine also. For fine tuning you can play with brace height but that is when you have the arrows hitting very close to where you want them to hit. Their are others on here that will explain it way better then i can.

thought about thicker side plate, however I don't think the arrows are weak. I shoot them out of several bows that are slightly heavier. Please correct me if I am wrong but heavier points should weaken the spine.

Heavier heads weaken spine not stiffen. Try a lighter head , if you plan to hunt with it, you'll have to tune to that head weight.
 How's your form.
 Also needed some more info, draw weight, draw length, arrows, desired point weight, etc.

Get a fieldpoint test kit from 3 rivers weights from 100-300. So mich easier to tune now. Though it sounds like your weak spined. The limbs may be more efficent to. More umph when you release.

Without seeing you shoot its difficult to diagnose but given that
your arrows are paper tuning well the bow should not need any other tuning. It is a new bow to you. Are you looking for the arrow in flight or are you waiting for it to appear in your sight picture? A right handed shooter looking for the arrow will shoot to the right.A different bow will have a different grip and flight characteristics which can change your sights(eyes) on target.

Take some twist out of your string (lower your brace hight) and your arrows should come back to center. Just a few twist at a time.

I think just moving your strike plate back out just a fuzz may solve your problem, but you would need to check your arrow flight to see how it effects it.... it all depends on how deep your shelf is cut.

Check out this arrow tuning video. This guy does a nice job of bare shaft tuning, and points out that the arrow length determines the proper spine MUCH more than adding or subtracting tip weight on a center cut riser, or past center cut set up.....

I have noticed that tip weight effects the spine much more on bows with risers cut befor center. Which makes sense really... they have to flex more to get around the riser than a bow cut to center or past past center.

If your bow is grouping right and your are right handed then your arrows are weak.  This bow is probably cut further past center then your others or maybe a little higher performer.

Most of the above recommendations result in a stiffer arrow.  I think I'd try one spine range higher and go from there.

Check your string to nock fit. I had the same issue with one of my bows.

I am with the weak arrow crew here n what they say.  The RER is a pretty fast bow and can cont be judged by a similar bow of the same weight.  I would Bare shaft an arrow with that bow before I would mess with side plates.

Thanks everyone for your thoughts. I have moved the side plate out a little and my groups came in about 1/2 way. I did notice that my brace height was a little longer then the recommended brace height so tonight I am going to lower it a couple of turns as whittler suggested.

Thanks again.  moved side plate out adjusted brace height and moved nocking point down a very small amount(1/32). bow is shooting where I look.
