What's your opinion on them for speed, quietness, smoothness etc? Thanks, Bob

Just was at TBOF shoot last weekend and they were all over the place.  Very popular in the Southeast
They do everything right.  I have witnessed them shoot- quick, quiet and I have examined them up close and the quality is superb.  A super value.

I have a very close friend that has one and it shoots awesome. I had one of Mikes Black Forest Longbows and wished that I never traded it. Mike Treadway is an awesome bowyer and a great guy ! His attention to detail will impress you and he will treat you right. I HIGHLY recommend him

Mike is a super guy and his bows are great values for the dollar. I had heard he had slowed or stopped building bows but I hope that was wrong. If true, it would be a great loss to the trad world. He was not at Denton Hill this year.

What has been said about Mike above is all very true. Since you asked about the bow I can tell you that I own a Black Swamp and it is the best "hybrid" style bow I have owned or shot.  Fast, quiet, and no vibration at all in the bow after the shot.

I own a 60" Black Swamp. I bought it used and sent it back to Mike to reduce the weight. It's obviously not as fast as it was, but it was a sweet shooter at 47# and even sweeter for me at 42#.

As mentioned above, Mikes finish is superb. I love that dragonfly that you seem to see WAY under the finish.

I have shot them but never owned one. They are great bows and are super quiet - I mean QUIET! As nineworls9 said, they are popular in the Southeast and all over the place at TBOF. They look good, also.

Mike is one of the good guys.  I've never heard a cross word about him.  You don't hear a lot about him because word of mouth sells his bows--he stays covered up.

I have owned several, very nice bows and until I got my Centaur the best hybrid I had shot.
