Awesome story thanks for sharing that. WW2 veterans have always had a special place in my heart. They were some tough guys. 75 million served- unbelievable what they accomplished.

Fascinating. I've always held the 10th Mtn. Division of WWII in high regard, since I was a kid. For me, a lot had to do with their skiing and mountaineering heritage, along with their heroics.
If anyone wants a great read on it (fairly recently published), get "Climb to Conquer" by Peter Shelton.

Never came across this added history though; now I can add archery to the image!

That is amazing. I believe that there are records of a WW2 British soldier using a long bow in combat as well.

The broadhead looks a lot like a head sold by Outdoor Amusement Company AKA Osage Archery Tackle circa 1936 ish as shown in a pic in Wade Philips' broadhead book.
