Efficient way to hang stands
« on: August 22, 2015, 12:37:00 AM »
I put this video on here last year but its that time of year again.
This shows how easy and quick you can hang a stand if you have the right harness and lineman belt.

If you don't use a lineman belt watch this video and see what your missing!

Excellent.

I've done that in PA for YEARS using the Rapid Rails and Non-Typical stands before Ameristep got into the deal and changed things...

I bought a 2nd SOP tether rope so I could put one around the tree for my tether STRAP before I unhooked the lineman belt rope....

Looks like you had 2 but at that distance wasn't sure, but appears so.

Only thing is having to adjust the straps for rapid rails and the stand in the dark on strange trees... but you develop the nack...
The words "Child" and "terminal illness" should never share the same sentence! Those who care-do, others question!

I just use 1 lineman belt. But when I come to a branch i use the line connected to my harness to hold me while i unhook adn rehook around branches. same concept but one less line to carry.
