How does the RX compare to the Arroyo especially in the grip. I have an LX and want to get a RER recurve. Trying to decide between a one piece or an RX.
I have both (well, actually three) configurations). The LX/XR are the same riser, as Gator pointed out. mine is the takedown with both recurve and longbow limbs. it's a heavier, bigger riser, similar to what you see with a lot of takedown recurves.
my Retro is the much slimmer and smaller riser. a much lighter bow overall, and thus better suited to be a one piece, IMO.
I love both bows, but the Retro is my baby. I prefer the lighter, slimmer riser for a number of reasons.
The Arroyo is kind of a hybrid between the two. bigger, beefier riser with more palm swell, but still less mass than a takedown riser. it really is about personal preference in the grip, since they all shoot lights-out!
