It's harder for trad, as Chuck said. Most trad bowyers don't roll out a new "flagship" bow each year the way they do for compounds. For the wheelie industry you're taught that the bow you dumped $1,200 on last year is junk because its 1/2 ounce heavier and 20 fps slower than this years models, so you can snag the older ones cheaper. Trad is usually pretty even-keeled here and the prices stay steady for the most part. Exceptions exist, such as Big Jim's, he usually scores good prices on his stock, and some other folks. But if you buy from a big box store the bows are generally the same price from year to year.
