Bear Paw Feathers
« on: September 23, 2015, 08:25:00 PM »
I just wanted to let some people know that I have had GREAT results with these feathers.  I ordered 100 bear paw feathers last year along with 24 true flight feathers from Kustom King(great service!) I had never heard about bear paw feathers before, but i thought for $28/100 it would be worth a try.

Around a year later and nearly 70 feathers used, I have only had 1 feather that I wouldn't use(had an  uneven base or something, honestly, I can't remember).  I found all of them to be cut very well, and ground consistent.

If you are looking for a quality AFFORDABLE feather, don't hesitate to try the bearpaw out.

Personal preference here, but the 4" bear paw were higher than the 4" true flight and I liked that. I just placed an order for 300 of the 3" feathers.  Just wanted to try something new.

God Bless,
Daniel

I agree 100%. My last couple hundred or so have been bearpaw.

Hate to spread it around too much as the price will go up  though

In all honesty, they are all I use anymore, I love em.
I told a bunch of people about their gloves and now they are backordered! That will teach me

Heard nothing but good things about the Bears Paw feathers, but have not tried them out yet.

Thanks for the info, Daniel!

Bisch,

i don't think you will be upset if you try them out. The bases are ground VERY consistent, in my experience.

Thanks! It won't happen for a while though, because I have a stash of gateways that I bought for $10/100. And while they are not as consistent as Trueflights (or apparently the bears paw), I will keep using them at that price. I never have feathers come off, even the ones with extremely thin quills.

Right. I didn't have any, which is why I tried out the bear paws. Honestly, I have only used 1 set of true flights so I don't know exactly how consistent they are. I just know I haven't had any problems with these.

Bear paw are GOOD for sure.
I've tried all the the big names.
Now there are some guys on here grinding feathers. I'll bet my behind they're good..but I haven't tried them.
The ONLY feathers I'll buy from the big names are Bearpaw or Trueflight.

I use Bearpaw and Trueflight, and they're both equally good.

Bearpaw feathers are what are on the three arrows I sent you Daniel.  All I've used for the past 3+ years.  Quality of both the feather and workmanship regarding the grind and cut is good.  Might get 1-2 culls out of 100.
