New Mad Dog
« on: September 30, 2015, 05:21:00 AM »
Hey Gang,
I just ordered a new Mad Dog Mountaineer 55#@28 from Mike.
Cocobolo/Bocote riser with a semi-agressive medium grip and 64" AMO. I'm thinking bamboo limb cores with some darker grainy/figured lams under clear glass. I'm really excited as this is my first custom bow. I plan on building up some Surewood douglas fir shafts topped with 190r. Cutthroat broadheads to send through a pair of elk lungs next fall.
I'll include pictures when it comes in.
Northern Mist Classic 68" 65#
Northern Mist Baraga 62" 51#
Maddog Prairie Predator 63"  40#
Shawnee Traditions Spirit Flatbow 62" 64#
1965 Bear Kodiak 60" 53#

Bet you're going to have a tough time waiting.

Hey man, cool! Shoot me a pm. I see you are in Fort Collins. I can help you build up a couple surewoods here at the house before you order a batch. To make sure they are just right. Get you "dialed in"

that's what I usually use is elm. Red or American, either work great, red elm looks a little better though
