This is my first year hunting with traditional gear and I've seen several deer, but can't seem to get them within a range that I'm comfortable shooting at.  Also, I've been busted by deer a lot more this year than I ever have in the past and I'm wondering if the reason is because I feel I need to get closer to their traveling routes with trad gear.  However, I keep toting that bow into the woods hoping that a near blind deer walks broadside within range.

I killed my first bowkill deer in 1976 with a K-mag still use it it blinds.I have since killed Hogs,deer,turkey,Bear bunch of small game and at 65 years still having a great time.Enjoy the
