Signal 11 Scents
« on: October 26, 2015, 09:49:00 AM »
Went to my archery shop the other day and the proprietor talked me into buying a bottle of Signal 11 scent. He was very enthusiastic about its effectiveness. It seems it's a fairly localized brand centered around northern NJ and eastern PA. I've used it on a drag the last couple of days but with no result that I could detect. Of course, there hasn't been a lot of activity the last couple of days either. Has anyone used this product and if so what is your impression?

Think about it.. Dogs can pick out the smell of drugs or firearms that are wrapped in waterproof containers and weighted down inside a tank full of gas.  Deer can smell better than dogs.

That being said... Deer are curious creatures. I've had them come to 20 yards and watch me cut wood. I'm sure they were not attracted to the smell of old fat guy sweat or chain saw oil but this has happened on multiple occasions.  I'm guessing it's why you do hear some people say their scent works.
