Jeffery Archery on the east side of Columbia is a full service archery shop with a lot of trad gear.

I've adopted too many bows that needed a good home.

None that I know of within 100 miles of Greenville. The shops that are around cater to the compound crowd and will flat out give awful advice when it comes to trad stuff.
Personally, if I don't make it, I'll get whatever I need from the vendors on here, so I haven't found the lack of a traditional shop to be that much of a problem.
Are you looking for something in particular?

I grew up working at Jeffery and still frequent there.
They are the only place I know of that has any Trad stuff in the state, but i would not say that they have a good selection.
Although they do still build bows, the selection in terms of trad gear is pretty slim as they tend to focus more on wheelie stuff these days.
With that being said they do have a wonderful indoor range, and great folks to talk to!
What is it that you are looking for and I can most likely tell you if they have it?

Not looking for anything in particular - and trust me, I spend PLENTY with the vendors on this site.
I travel around North and South Carolina for work and frequent that area a lot, so I like to visit local shops when I'm in an area. Just checking to see if there was one there.

Then I would most certainly stop by there and say hello!
There is a wealth of knowledge floating around Jeffery!

I preferred the shop on Pepper Street where I bought my first recurve in 1992..... Mr. Owen was still heavily involved. Unfortunately it is as much a regular Pro Shop that also sells their line of Jeffery bows today in my opinion. The best we got in the area but is not a pure trad shop as was mentioned.
I would stop in and say hello....shoot their targets maybe...check out a few bows...and if Mr Owen is there meet a piece of history for sure. That man was a shooting machine on targets and wild hogs....

There WAS one in Greer several years back. Stickx and Stonz was the name. Owner closed due to practically no business and the sarcastic wheelie boys with their attitudes.
A moot point anyway...

You folks make Greenville SC look sparse for the traditionally minded...
Don't ever come North to Greeneville TN... it's a wasteland and not even boom stick shops in the NE section till you hit the more populated areas of Johnson City, etc... here around GreenEville, TN it's just pawn shops for any outdoor gear or boom sticks...
:(

You guys down south aren't the only ones without a Trad shop. We had Tollgate Archery here in Central N.Y. But he sold out and is moving. Nothing around here either.........Venders on here and at shoots is where I get my stuff, the classifieds also.

I'm an archery outfitter at Cabela's and we have a very small selection of traditional equipment. Stop by and see us, I have been all traditional since switching from compounds to traditional equipment 11 years ago.
