Cloudy glass

Got caught in the rain a few weeks ago with my dad's 69 Grizzly, now there's a cloudiness under the finish around the handle. Will it eventually dry out? Was going to go over it with gun wax, but was afraid it would seal the moisture in.

Does the bow still have the original finish? If so, most of the bows that age have very small cracks in the finish that could allow moisture to penetrate. If that were my bow, I would sand the riser, give it a few days to dry, then refinish.
If the bow has been refinished, it would help to know what with.
I suppose that you could also be seeing something like a wax ring on a table where moisture has clouded any wax on the bow.
