I have been seeing a few deer usually one or two every other sit the last few days. this morning I saw 2 does at 50 yards. it was very warm and humid and then the rain came. So i left and came home because the rain was supposed to continue into the night. Well i got home and took a nap and woke up about 2:30. No rain, and none on the radar for a while. So i got my stuff and headed to a small piece of property just down the road. As I walked in I saw a spike run away from me and I decided what the heck throw the stand up here, nothing else has worked. About 4:30 the wind picked up and temps dropped and I look to my right and down wind is a spike at 10 yds. He was nervous and he hid behind a pine so he could see me. He could smell something and he would not move. I could see his vitals but there was a twig or two that I would have to negotiate...I decided not to take that shot, he needed to take 2 steps and I would have a clean 10 yd shot. he never did it...he turned around and got out of there....I thought it was about to happen tonight guys...but it didn't..
