What does Pedro Martinez and Bentpole have in common?
« on: October 15, 2007, 04:21:00 PM »
Well folks just got back from the Doc's.The verdict is in the bicep looks good [healing] but I have a torn rotator. The good news is it's only one muscle out of four . He gave me my first shot of cortisone "lets see what happens in 7 to 10 days".I feel bad because Saturday Bucky and I went out to hunt first time in weeks. We said we'd hunt until 11:00. Well at 10:00 I couldn't take the pain anymore. Like having a tooth ache in my shoulder. I came down at 10:15 and wouldn't you know I spooked 4 does that were coming in towards him. Sorry Bud! I didn't want to take too many meds. Liable to fall asleep and whoops.

Big league pitcher. Used to play with the Red Sox, but now he's a Met.

Sorry, I have to go back to crying about my Cubbies.   :(

Last I saw of Cubby he was eyeing Annette in an impure way.

Killdeer~everything hurts. If it stops hurting, then I worry!  :D

Killy; the funny thing is I haven't drank in 14 months now.  Told the wife when I was drinkin I didn't have all these aches and pains .She said that's cause you were numb all the time.Joe; Pedro is the ace pitcher  for the NY Mets he's gettin' big coin for recooperating from Torn Rotater Cuff surgery.Gotta make a decision if it doesn't feel better in the next couple of weeks. Doc says 3/4 weeks in a sling and at least 3 months no work. The first season in five seasons when we are caught up at work, actually slow and I 've got a bum bicep and shoulder. Thanks to Doug Witcher  at Turkey Creek he sent me a 45#er that I can draw back without too much pain. I'm hunting!Yes Joe gotta watch the meds I call them Brett Favre jelly beans!

Putting yourself in some pretty elite company there aren't you Tom. Pedro, Favre, who's next, Howard?    :biglaugh:

Get the surgery now. It only takes longer to heal as you get older. I had mine done and the sling was off  day two and I was back at it in a couple weeks. Torn rotator and bone spurs.

Now is a relative term. I just mean don't put it off any longer than you have too. Of course once it gets cold drawing the bow will only get worse.

Hey Tom. I've got an idea that might help you stay in the woods and still stay medicated. I've got a new pop up blind down in the man cave. You can use it till the end of the season. The beauty of it is that it sets up quickly and has mesh screen windows. I can also give you a nice bucket to sit on while inside the blind. I don't think you can get too hurt falling off a spackle bucket.

Well that sounds like a great idea Larry! Hec, I don't think I could get hurt fallin' off a spackle bucket. Let's see about tomorrow Bud. If I get out of work early enough[ I'm workin' in Jersey City the armpit of N>J>] You know what it's like gettin' out of there at rush hour.I think you should have plenty of action there tomorrow no doubt!

Tom I'm putting the pop up blind in my truck for you. Give me a call during the day if you can.
