Lets see your Thunder Child

Sold most of my bows and decided to order a new Thunder Child. Had one a few years ago and always regretted selling it. Right now I'm thinking about wood combinations. Lets see what you've got. Giving a lot of thought right now to some combination of Koa or desert ironwood with gaboon ebony in the riser.

I had a TC with desert Ironwood; prettiest bow I ever owned. You almost forget to pick a spot because you are looking at the figure in the wood.
My bank account hopes that nobody makes a Hill style in ironwood; it is a stunning bow wood.

That bow that centaur had is quite a looker. Big Jim is a real "bowmeister" for sure. I have never seen one of his bows that was anything less than stunning in looks.

This is the plum back. I had Jim use woods from my property and some that had been in the family a while.

I will try to get pictures of mine up in a little bit. What I will say is that Jim stands behind his product and is an awesome guy to deal with. I have tried alot of shorter r/d bows, and the only one that I have kept is a thunderchild. I hope you love the bow that you get as much as I think that you will.

I have been honored to have been a friend of Big Jim for many years. Our friendship was never predicated on my owning and shooting one of his both marvelous and coveted creations. In fact, I have never owned one. I am currently climbing the mountain toward reaching that castle in the sky.
