Any have experience with smokey river bows?

Hey all, my friends was recently at a gun show and came upon a booth selling smokey river bows. He showed me some pics and they make some pretty nice and interesting looking bows. The seller said he hand made all the bows and they were all 400 bucks a pop.  400 bucks for a custom bow seemed like a hell of a deal to me but I know very little about custom bow makers.

My buddy is thinking about ordering one from him and I was just wondering if anyone here had experience with them.
