Printing on wood

Seems like I remember someone posting a way to print lettering on a printer and transfer it to arrows, but I can't find the thread with a search. Anyone know how to do this?

If you use a laser toner printer that can be transferred with heat using a transfer tip on a woodburner or an iron. Resolution diminishes when doing so but its good to transfer lines before doing another step in crafts.

No problem. I've done it several times to transfer over a basic image outline before woodburning something. I did it to this leather to make an arm guard for my best friend from college last year for Christmas.

Thete is also a way using a printed photo and a sort of glue from walmart (mod podge). You just spread it on the wood and photo, smooth the photo out on the wood face down, let it dry, and rub off the paper, leaving the ink. There are quite a few videos on youtube about it. Ive been meaning to try it myself.

I was just here
http://content.photojojo.com/diy/diy-photo-transfers-on-wood/
and it seemed to explain the above way to do it.

Thanks for the link and the info. I'll try printing some letters in reverse and see if I can get them small enough to fit on a ring.
