I Logged into my Cabela's account and was in the process of checking out, when I just happened to look at the 'Ship to' address and it had my name but a different address in Massachusetts! I live in Georgia....
I have been in Georgia for 40 years and never made any address changes on my Cabela's account.
I called customer service and they have no explanation.....
There was no suspicious purchase activity, but it's still kinda scary..

Crazy. I always check the shipping address when I order online....glad my paranoia is well-founded.

Your credit card number was likely stolen and the thiefs ordered something from Cabela's and had it shipped to their location. Check your credit card statement from the past few months very carefully for any charges that are suspicious. I had this happen once. Had a charge to Cabela's for over $150 that was not one of my orders. Had to get a new credit card. The thieves have a way to steal your card info when you swipe a card and they are nearby monitoring the machine.

I agree with the above. No other sensible explanation. That happened to me with a credit card company, only their purchase appeared on my bill. The company couldn't have handled it better for me. They were great. I'm surprised Cabela's just brushed it off with an "I don't know".

My wife had the same thing on an order with a Kohl's card. She went in a changed the address back and when she pressed buy. It automatically changed the address back to the Florida address and we live in Kansas. After many calls to Kohl's security and department heads, They said she would not be charged , but they couldn't stop the shipment to the bogus address in Florida because the shipment was not coming from them but a supplier of theirs. We never understood this logic but the shipped item still went to the thief. On Cabelas their security has been very good on me and they have stopped charges on a meal in San Francisco followed by a hotel room in Tokyo. Another time someone trying to make online purchases to a different address than mine. Both times I had to get new cards. The Tokyo event was right before a bear hunt and I planned on using the card on that trip.
