If you just buy one we suggest, it will probably be on Ebay in a few months.  Shoot a few and be patient.

Called Black Widow second week of October and they had a PTF-III coming off the line with no owner...received it three weeks later. My first Black Widow, a great shooting bow.  They had several other bows with no owners at that time.  It would be worth your time to call and ask...

Good Lord, RC with a new bow? There won't be any game left in Georgia!

Robert, you are more than a good enough shot to be able to tell what bow works best for you. As others have said, I'd hate for you to spend all that money on something that may not be what you want. I suggest the patience route Mr. Stout mentioned, shoot everything you can until you find one you like.

Now, when you coming up to try out what I got?

Check out the Assenhiemer line of bows. You can get a beautiful good shooting bow and have money left over.

George Stout has some good advice. You really need to shoot something but if you asked me ....

Sovereign Ballistik, smoothest draw and hard shooting. $900 would get you one of those fancy smancy purty ones.

The new Ancient Spirits Thunderhawk SLM, I have a 64" 1 pc that's 58@28 that I shoot as good as any bow I have ever owned and it smokes an arrow and quiet as a mouse.

If you want the best shooting recurve get a DAS.A lot of folks go through a lot of bows to find one that fits them and their style. If you take the time the DAS can be modified to fit anyone. You can make it short or long.It can be set up to perform with a long or short draw.If you want to shoot split or three under change the tiller. If you don't like the grip change it or get the blank and make your own.

Having said all that if you just don't like metal get the Widow.

Bob Morrison has many risers in stock.  Very nice.  It would cut the wait down and it is a great bow.
