Palmer WOW!

Finally bought a used Palmer after looking for about a year (yes I am very picky). It is a 60 inch Palmer Classic 45@28. I shoot 29 inches and this bow shoots rockets. I may have finally found a bow that is in the same league as my Habu when it comes to speed-I think it is even faster.I absolutely love the grip-it feels like it was made for my hand. It is a little louder than most other bows that I have shot, but I've made it much quieter through experimentation. This is really a nice bow. I wish Mike still made the basic bow line and not only the $1200 tradslam as I would be ordering a new one (well I might be anyways at some point).

I hunted near Sabinal Tx a couple times and the ranch owner shot a beautiful Palmer recurve.  Never did get a chance to go to Mr. Palmer's place and looks at his bows, though...

Try a string made of TS-1. I made a 14 strand endless loop for my Palmer and it went dead quiet. Just a dull thunk when you release like a longbow. Really suprised me.
