New Caribow Taiga Recurve
« on: December 28, 2015, 11:28:00 AM »
Just received a new Taiga Recurve WITH STATIC LIMBS from Abe and all I can say is this thing is the best shooting and quietest recurve I have ever shot.

It flat out smokes an arrow, is stable, super quiet but most importantly just sends an arrow right where I naturally point.  I never thought I would find a recurve that beat my Bruin but this one does in both quietness and performance.

Now I gotta wait until my matching Silver Fox and Taiga recurve are done later in 2016 - these will be M. Ebony with B/W Ebony riser and Walnut crotch limbs - both 57# @ 27 and 60".

Taiga is an awesome recurve, especially with his new static limb design.

I have a Taiga and the riser is the best fitting of any bow I have owned, only equaled perhaps by my Blacktail Elite. I didn't know Abe was still making the Taiga.

I had an Slynx out of B/W Ebony and that is one pretty wood for a bow. Abe makes great bows. You'll love the Silver Fox, I have one of those too    :jumper:

I've known about the static version for a while now and have wondered about it.  I've had a couple Tuktu EX'S and I am betting the Taiga version is just as sweet.

Is it the 54lb bow he has "sold" on the stock page Dave?  I'd like to hear your comparison against your Tuktu ex.

Looks like a Silver Fox with recurve limbs.  Of course your limbs have a lot more curve than the recurve limbs I tried on my SF.
