New Bigfoot Static
« on: December 28, 2015, 01:17:00 PM »
I ordered a static recurve last spring to match my Sasquatch target bow Kirk made for me last year.  Well I picked it up last week and was not disappointed.  The satin finish doesn't bring out the wood grain like the gloss does but it is still very pretty.  I've only shot 4 arrows though it due to a broken ankle, but I'm very impressed so far.  The first thing I noticed how quiet it is, probably even more so than my Sasquatch.  From the numbers Kirk gave me on how fast it is I'm more than satisfied.  I know I'm a little biased because I consider Kirk a friend but he has always been a pleasure to work with.  I'm hoping he will post a few pics for me, hope you enjoy them.

Your in for a real treat with the SS recurve. Love mine and the SS ILF limbs Kirk made for me. Congrats on a super performing bow in all aspects.

Very nice match. Great job Kirk. Now which one's the quietest? We know they smoke!

I'm waiting on the SEMI-static RC limbs for my SAS LB riser...

I'll lower poundage for the upcoming years and those days Uncle Arty-ritis comes to visit and chooses to hang around a while...

I fully know that the lighter limbs will show amazing performance... Kirk keeps pushing to find out what works and why...then adapts that to other designs and tests them to death, too!

That walnut is killer. I really like the white tips with it.

I did those spliced limb veneers for Bill a year ago for his Hybrid long bow & saved some to match his new SS here. That was some cool looking curly maple.

Here are the two side by side....

Sorry it took so long to get the DFC charts up... I've been pretty busy in the shop lately....

The first one is 10. 5 GPP 28" draw

This second one is 9 GPP 28" draw

Un real. over 96 percent Stored energy is getting about as good as possible. No one should wonder why they are shooting high. My only question is how many people is Kirk going to have to hire to keep up with the orders.
Next thing you know he will have to have a factory and dust walk around and tell everyone what to do.

God bless and Happy New Year, Steve

Now, Steve, can you truly visualize Herr Kirk actually keeping his mitts off a bow and allowing others to work their magic?

I sure hope he grows a pop off valve tween now and then... he'll stroke out!    :scared:        :knothead:

Patiently waiting ! Now after seeing the charts , excitement is building. I've got some ILF limbs being built.
Hope Kirk and family have a restful holiday and is ready to hit the trail running . I know he is going to get busier after seeing these beautiful bows .
