Has been beat to death but...
« on: December 29, 2015, 11:17:00 AM »
I'm intending on ordering another Tall Tines in a couple months and I would like to see some riser pics.  I'm kinda at a loss as to what I might want.  My bow is Chechen with yew limbs and its something you don't see very much and I'm wanting #2 to be the same way.  I'll admit that bubinga sounds good.

It's not a Tall Tines nor is it even a TD, so probably not what you're really looking for, but here's one I really like.  This one is Jatoba with curly walnut under clear glass over bamboo cores, and walnut/bamboo riser accents.  I really like the look of the red and dark brown together, and the smaller light bamboo stripes add a nice touch.  Like a red velvet cake with chocolate icing and caramel drizzled all over it.  I'm thinking the Bubinga you mentioned would be a similar color to the Jatoba just with a little different grain.  The Tall Tines' riser would be able to show off a high grade piece of walnut really well.

Actually I just spoke to Brian last night. He's going to build me a 62" Stickflinger, checkered Wenge riser with a Myrtle flair and Myrtle limbs. This is a low wrist short riser, 60" in Wenge and Myrtle.
