That's cool Joe! It's funny because I just got out one of my old cams. Not as old but pretty close because we started out on the old 35's to, I've been missing my old flash pictures and still have some D40 Moultries that I use from time to time from 2008     :bigsmyl:

The first night picks brought back good memory's! I hate the black and white IR picks.

The good old days of flash cams that spooked big bucks. Lol!

You can't find flash cams anymore but I did, and I am testing one runs on AA batt takes the big cards is tiny so we shall see. Reviews were good, just put it out yesterday.

Neat stuff Whip.I had to go look and found I still have 2 of those film monstrosities, still in good working order.Bears used to claw and bite the daylights out of them, trying to get at the film smell.I had a yearling black bear, just kicked off by his mother, figure out how to open the Pelican case on one.He crunched the internals and flipped the Canon camera out on the ground, face up.That camera laid there for a month, through 2 rains and a spring snow, and the camera and film were still good.I had one picture of the perpetrator and a couple of the tree tops.Cost me $350.

KS Trapper, what model is your white flash?I wouldn't mind having a few.

Jim I just put this little new flash cam out yesterday, I will check it tomorrow and see how well it works and exspeacially hope good quality the pix are. It's a 6mp cam and had ratings of 5 out of 5 from its users but has slipped under the radar because it's a flash cam not IR. It's going to be discontinued but there's still a bunch out there.

I plan on getting several and running both types to replace the  10 junkie Primos cams my son bought that are done in three years but have always been trouble and a mixture of others we've tried over the years. Love the new little cams! Have a few and they are great. I will let you know    :bigsmyl:

We are blessed to be in a good area of the state, lots of picks and we've taken some good ones with our bows.

That second buck down in the old pick had crazy mass, my son took him at 8yds from the ground.

Good stuff guys, neat sequence Joe.

I put my camera out on Public land this week at a spot I found the last week of deer season.

I saw a  spike with 2 spotted fawns on the way in (antlered doe?)

I feel like I will not get many photos but it is a great area. I think the larger problem will be to narrow down a specific spot in there.  May have to sit it and figure a  general pattern but there are many trails.  I may try to block some trails with brush to narrow down the funnel and make a "funnel in a funnel" scenario as explained by the wensels.

Pictures to follow in a  couple weeks if the camera is still there.  Its pretty far in so I am optimistic.  Also, I know this area will become more heavily traveled once hunting pressure starts.
Relax,

You'll live longer!

Good luck in the new spot Charlie, Jim great picks and I always miss the velvet for a while but get used to it. The new cam worked great but come to find out is a discontinued model and I can not find any, Anywhere!!!  You might say sure and think I haven't looked much but I put some of my best shoppers on it to and none of us can find any.

So, if anybody runs across any little AA cams that are white flash not IR well priced I'm looking for some. I have several to replace this year an already bought some IR's.

Looking good for Guru! Getting ready to start shedding soon most will the first 10 days of September around here. A few earlier and a few later but about 95% around that time frame.

I got mine at Dicks and went back to check for more, he said none of the stores had any left in any of the states. Thought that was hard to believe so I got on there sight and it says discontinued and not available, out of 400 stores figured there was some out there.

Thanks, I'm going back up there I did find a couple at auction site at 3x the price but I'm not paying that.
