Awesome story! Really enjoy these late season thread posts! I usually look forward to late season hunting myself but a out of the blue triple bypass surgery has me sitting on the side lines this year and looking forward to the "still hunting posts"!

Thanks all, really wish I'd went back 4 hours later last nite.

Bro ended up going to the ER because by the time he got home it was bleeding again, running down his ankle. The puncture was just below his knee .

X-rays, stiches, has to get 3 antibiotic shots and an rx of some more. Be careful out there! Like he said, "what are the chances of that happening!"
Stay sharp, Kenny.

Congrats on the double Kenny,
Glad your brother is alright. Don't you just love late season hunting! November rut hunting is hard to beat but late season cold and snow are a real close second place for me.

Congrats Kenny!  Great story and hunt.       Sorry to hear the coyotes claimed one of them, but they are pretty thick out there this year.

Hope your brother heals quickly and doesn't have any complications.

Wish we had that snow when we were there.....maybe next season?

Kenny, I do more browsing then posting until this time of year rolls around. Spend most of my days at work in front of a computer, shy away from it when I get home. But once deer season starts, I like to keep track on how everyone is doing and read the stories. Always something to learn on here.

Wow.  Just left your house at 11:00am yesterday and you start killing the deer herd off.  Congrats and thanks for a great time.   Chad

Hi Mac! Snow is great but snow with a couple inches of sleet and rain under, not quite so good. Very noisy and also slick! Chad can vouch for that! Chad, I just got lucky!

Good story, Kenny! Hate to hear about John's calamity and losing a deer, though.

Come visit me at the UBM Festival in February!

Well that stinks buddy, both the deer and especially brother John!

Glad he's gonna be ok....it's amazing the crazy things that "happen" while hunting    :scared:

Yep the yotes are just doing their job and they are good at it too!

Darren , where can I find the info on the ubm?

Curt, a little update on bro , he took a broadhead for Dr to look at, they thought about an inch in, and alongside the shin bone.  Did xrays to make sure no bone damage,  can cause bone infection. Guess you really don't want that!!
Says it is pretty sore still, last burning antibiotic shot today, then a week of pills.

Hoping he doesn't get some kind of infection that shows up again!
Stay sharp, Kenny.
